![]() ![]() What was your inspiration for writing Rules (Scholastic, 2006)? ![]() Scholastic accepted Rules at the end of 2001, and I did several revisions between that initial call and publication. Before that, I wrote short stories for adults, catalog copy, and teaching materials. I’ve always loved children’s books and writing, but I didn’t put the two together until 2000, when I began writing Rules.
